Description: Compilation by amateur filmmaker Peter Flook. Including gardening scenes and very early colour film in the Good Earth; rock climbing and swimming in bathing costumes in Two at Torquay; footage of the Olympic Yachting Regatta at Tor Bay 1948 as part of the London hosted Olympics and Ruff a pet dog named after the cartoon Rufus and Flook.
A dog rushes through and a woman with a watering can. She walks to the chicken coop and opens the gate, let the chickens out and feed them. Chickens are drinking water and feeding while watched by the dog. She collects the eggs and leaves the coop and shows the eggs to the camera.
A young man with a wheelbarrow approaches a patch of land and starts to turn the soil with a fork. The garden is very large. He theatrically holds his back and pretends to be hurt.
Another man is racking the soil and planting seeds. He puts labels down and plants different seeds across the patch and he smokes a pipe.
The young man (previously seen) holes and tends the soil and he wipes his face with his handkerchief.
The film swtiches to dufay colour stock. Two men on a combine weed harvester and peddling weeds. They toss the bales of hays into the horse-driven cart. The hays are shifted and then placed into large bales in the field. Two men (young and older man from previous scene) are now harvesting produces (potatoes, carrots) in the field. A woman is pulling out carrots. A younger woman and the woman are picking apples from trees and eat them. The produces from the field is shown on display and a rabbit is eating a carrot. The display includes carrots, potatoes, jars of pickle eggs and onion.
The film switches to black and white. Beverley Productions present.
Pebbles on the beach spells: Tvvo at Torquay
A couple explores the cliff and sea at Torquay, feeds the seagulls and walks bare foot. The man is climbing up the rockface and the woman seems bitten by something in the water. The couple waves to each other.
An AA road sign says Olympic Yatching and a montage of the Olympic flame and flags of competing nations. The scoreboard of the XIVth Olympic in 1948 is shown. It was the 4th race on the 8th of August. The woman from the couple earlier watches the race. The couple takes their outer clothes and starts swimming. They come back to the land and dry themselves with towels, and start sunbathing. They share a passionate kiss. The pebbles spell: The End, and washes away by the tide.
