London’s Screen Archives (LSA) is a unique network with a shared vision – to preserve and share London’s history on film. The network is managed by Film London, and encompasses organisations that hold heritage moving image collections across the capital.
We work with our members to digitise their films and ensure the long-term sustainability of their moving image collections, as well as hosting events, screenings, volunteering programmes, and training and education opportunities throughout the year. LSA Institutional Membership offers a wide range of benefits including:
Your collections highlighted on the London’s Screen Archives website
Combined with our social media and YouTube channels, LSA Members’ collections are viewed half a million times per year online. LSA Members also receive a quarterly website engagement report.
A new or enhanced income stream
With an increase in the LSA network’s online presence, Film London handles licensing enquiries as a part of their day-to-day operations. Members can opt to outsource licensing and rights clearance of collections to Film London, introducing a new and structured income stream or augmenting an existing one.
Partnership opportunities
LSA Membership holders will have opportunities to partner with Film London and other members on joint funding and development initiatives, to digitise and provide access to your moving image collections.
Support for moving image collection management queries
All LSA Members will have access to dedicated support and advice via a designated phone and email service.
Discounted services
All LSA Members will have access to a range of discounted services, including: film and video storage in climate-controlled vaults; LSA training and conference tickets; and scanning and digitisation services using our MWA small gauge film scanner.

Friend of London’s Screen Archives
Archive film enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to get involved as a Friend of London’s Screen Archives. Benefits will include being named as a supporter on the LSA website, early bird access and discounts on LSA training and conferences, and reduced rates on film handling and scanning experience sessions.
