Summary: An Edmonton Film Society film about Arts Week 1960. Opening with exterior views of Salisbury House, Edmonton and its gardens, the film shows the Mayor, Mayoress and macebearer arriving for the opening ceremony and address an audience sat in chairs laid out in the garden. Various dignitaries give speeches and receive comment from the guests before retiring to a marquee. Back out in the garden The Edmonton Singers perform, and some costumed actors present a dramatic extract from Shakespeare's 'The Taming of the Shrew'.
