Description: Part dramatised film about the life of John Harvard. The film includes details about Harvard's life and education in Southwark and Cambridge and the Plague which killed most of his family, in Southwark. Harvard's mother owned the Queen's Head Inn in Borough High Street which was left to him on her death. After Harvard's marriage to Ann Sadler in 1636 the couple set sail for America. They settled in Charlestown from where Harvard ministered until his death in 1638.
