Description: Custodians: The Work of Memory is a short documentary made as part of the 2025 Screen Heritage Ambassadors programme. Filmed across various Central London locations, the film features members of the cohort and London Screen Archives Project Manager Tamera Heron reflecting on screen heritage, memory, archival care and the importance of preserving Black Londoners’ moving image histories. Through interviews, observational footage and moments of collective reflection, the film considers what it means to be a custodian of community and personal memory, and why archives matter for future generations.
