A car's lights appear outside. A policeman exits and looks up t the flat and can see the shadow of the assailant with the knife. The policeman enters the flat joined by a colleague and holds out his hand for the knife. They are sitting at the table when the younger woman grabs the knife as she tries to stab the older women, The police restrain her and take her out of the flat. The final scene shows a pictureframe with a couple, one of whom is the older woman.
