Summary: Film showing the Mayor and council of the London Borough of Bromley presenting Wing Commander Smallwood with the council's resolution to adopt Royal Air Force Station, Biggin Hill. The film begins in silence with the Mayor, Sydney George William Baylis, and entourage being led to the podium. The sound begins part way through the Mayor's speech. While presenting the illuminated engrossment to Wing Commander Smallwood, the Mayor says, 'The people of Bromley are very proud and honoured to prove their good will by this act of adoption'. The Mayor goes on to say that the action will bring the station closer to the Borough's civic and community life, and with it he passes on the good wishes of the people of Bromley. Wing Commander Smallwood makes a short speech in reply saying that the official adoption will renew the bond between the borough and the station which he hopes will continue to prosper for many years to come.
