Summary: Stepney Jewish School was founded in 1864. As the Jewish community moved out of the East End after the Second World War so on 1st September 1970 the Stepney Jewish School closed and reopened as the newly built Ilford Jewish Primary School (IJPS) in Barkingside, LB Redbridge. In 2013 IJPS moved to King Solomon High School, Fairlop.
