Description: 00:00 – 01:19 View from inside a shop as Peter Blake walks past and into the shop. Shot along the outside of the shop looking in at the items in the window, then it follows Peter as he walks out of the shop with a jug and a bowl. Peter walks down the street. He walks along the pavement and out of shot with a picture of a cow, then across the frame with a statue, then another object and then a baby. He walks past again with the cow, turns to look at the camera, and then walks through the front door of a house.
19 – 02:59 From inside the house, we see Peter walk in the front door with the cow and places it on the floor in a crowded hallway. He walks through the hallway and into an untidy room and sits at his desk. He picks up a photograph of a child and looks at it before placing it back on the desk. The camera pans away and moves around the room, before returning to Peter. He moves his chair and sits down in front of the painting he is working on of the child. Peter explains how he used photographs for his pieces.
59 – 4:27 The film cuts between Peter preparing his paints and inspecting photographs. He gets up from his chair and walks to the door. The camera zooms in on a poster for the ‘Peter Blake Retrospective’ at the City Art Gallery Bristol. Peter walks into the gallery holding a child. The camera moves through the crowded gallery, looking at the guests and pieces of art.
27 – 7:30 More shots around the gallery of the people in attendance and the artworks. In voiceover we hear their opinions of the work. The film cuts between people drinking and enjoying themselves, then back to shots of Peter’s artworks with further voiceover of the guests' opinions and interpretations.
30 – 8:40 Sped up footage zooming in and then back out on the poster for the retrospective, then walking around the gallery, interspersed with clips of people dancing and pieces of art. Zoom out from close up of Peter Blake’s face to him stood on the pavement. Credits.
