Summary: Film of the opening of Gunnersbury Park on 21 May 1926. Over the heads of the crowd, the Minister of Health Neville Chamberlain MP is seen giving a speech on a stage in front of the Large Mansion. He is surrounded on the stage by local dignitaries, some of whom speak after Chamberlain. Girls present flowers to some of the dignitaries' wives, also seated on the stage. After the ceremony, people mill about on the grounds in front of the Large Mansion. Intertitle 'Some of the Beauty Spots': panning shot of the park with people strolling through the trees and by the lake; panning shot of the Large Mansion; close-ups of some of the dignitaries and others chatting in front of the mansion. Intertitle 'Display of Ju Jitsu by Constables Crew and Hutchinson (Ealing Police) with the assistance of "Tiny" entitled "Catching a Tartar"': A working class man asks a well-dressed gentleman for a cigarette. The gentleman hands over his cigarette case, which the working-class man pockets. As he walks away, the gentleman taps him on the shoulder and a fight ensues. Using Ju Jitsu moves, the gentleman floors the thief. As the thief collapses flat on his back, the rather large 'Tiny' appears, dressed in a white suit, and lies down on top of him. Tiny flattens the thief until he is as thin as a piece of paper (through the magic of film the thief becomes a paper cutout). The well-dressed gentleman reappears with a bouquet of flowers and folds the cutout's arms across its chest. Tiny lays a bouquet of flowers on the cutout's chest. The two men run off, arm in arm. The film cuts to a display of jumping motorcycles, which ride up a low ramp, into the air, and back to the ground. The film ends with a panning shot of the crowd waving and smiling, egged on by Tiny.
